Before and After Photos of Works Carried Out for Dr A Roy Davies, Oakhayes, Crewkerne

The retaining wall was failing (bulging in the middle) so the decision was agreed to take down 19 square meters of the retaining wall in a v-shape. I then built up to 100 mm and poured concrete behind to provide a level for weepholes to be installed.

I then built up another 250 mm and poured chippings behind to provide sufficient drainage for the wall. Above this level, concrete was poured behind the wall to provide additional support.

The steps were neglected and needed tidying up.  So the specification was made to clad Hamstone to the front of the steps to match the wing walls. They were then paved with a slab to match the existing paving as closely as possible.

Testimonial

'A first-class stonemason, a first-class business. We employed Aaron to rebuild a long ham stone wall in our driveway, along with other necessary remedial work. The workmanship was superb, fulfilling our requirements. He sourced all necessary supplies and skips and worked every day until complete. The site was left clean and tidy, and nothing was too much trouble. His quote was competitive and came in on target.

We were so impressed, we employed him further to rebuild two crumbling sets of crescent, cascading stairways in the garden. Again, wonderful, skilful work. Certainly, we will employ Aaron to complete further planned jobs and would strongly recommend his business to anyone.'
